9月27日、インターナショナルボウルを主催するUSA Footballから、2022年2月にアメリカテキサス州で開催が予定されていたインターナショナルボウル2022が中止されることが通知されました。
　新型コロナウイスル感染に収束がみられないことが原因です。
　参加を心待ちにしていた選手の方々、開催に向けて準備を進めて頂いた関係者の方々には大変申し訳ありませんが、掛かる事情をご理解頂ければ幸いです。

　一日も早く日常に戻り、フットボールに打ち込める環境が来ることを心より願っています。また、高校生の皆さんにとっては、これから国内で秋季シーズンが始まります。皆さんの活躍を心よりお祈りいたします。

『USAフットボールは、COVID-19パンデミックの影響により、2022年のインターナショナルボウルの開催を中止することを決定いたしました。
この決定は、残念ですが、インターナショナルボウルに参加する選手、コーチ、スタッフ、そして各人の身近な人たちの健康と福祉のために必要であり、責任があると考えています。
これは我々にとって残念なニュースです。しかし、この決定を受けて、皆様の所属する連盟がこれまでに行った2022年のインターナショナルボウル関連の計画や予約をすべてキャンセルしてください。』

Dear International Bowl-Invited Federations:

I’m writing to inform you that USA Football has made the very hard decision to cancel the 2022 International Bowl due to complications and health threats posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Arriving at this determination is disappointing but necessary and responsible for the health and welfare of International Bowl athletes, coaches, and staff, as well as each individual’s close contacts.

This is disappointing news for all of us. In the wake of this decision, however, please cancel any and all 2022 International Bowl-related plans and reservations that you and your federation have made to date.
